Behind A Smile

Nobody knew anything was wrong
As she hid behind a smile
Walking through her life being nothing but strong
Hoping someone would notice her pain after a while
The dreams in which she was dying
Are the best she has ever had
She wants to pick up the blade and just stop trying
Maybe if she wasn’t here, then everyone would be glad.
She buries herself alive on the inside
To block everything out
And prays her faith and fear suddenly don’t collide
She doesn’t understand how this is what her life is really all about.
