Growing weak,
She picks herself up again,
So tired,
She looks herself over,
It’s not right,
No, she’s not perfect yet,
No, she’s not perfect yet,
She’ll never be perfect,

She wakes up,
Has to force herself out of bed,
Voices,
Play over inside her head,
They all say,
That she’s not perfect,
No, she’s not perfect,
She’ll never be perfect,


Why,
Does it have to be this way?

Why,
Must she fight through every day?
Why?
I think it’s time for someone to say,
Stop, its okay,
She’s perfect in her own way,

She’s got,
Big, blue eyes,
That cry themselves to sleep at night,
Not a day goes by,
She feels that she’ll be alright,
She still says,
That she’s not perfect,
No she’s not perfect,
She’ll never be perfect,

The media,
Tell her how she is supposed to be,
Push away,
Any images of reality,
What she doesn’t know,
Is that isn’t perfect,
No, that’s not perfect,
That will never be perfect,


She’s no Barbie doll,
Why must she be so small?
Because when everything, spirals out of control, she holds on,

To the image, of that Barbie doll,
Her thoughts force her to want to be so small,
She stops eating, and she starts to lie,
She’s, sick of living, but doesn’t want to die,

So she gambles,
With life placed at the cost,
In the End, the world will win,
While, she’s lost,
So

This really tells the story of so many girls today. You are right, we aren't perfect, but in Christ, we can become more and more like Christ who is perfect. And that kind of perfection doesn't take starving yourself, exercising yourself to death, wearing the newest fashions, or any other thing that destroys the body instead of strengthening it. Find your value in the Lord. He thinks you are jewel. He thought so much of you that He sent His Son Jesus to die for you so that you could have the opportunity to be whole.

Hun I want you to think about something for me Barbie dolls all look the same yes they have different colored eyes, skin and hair but they all have the same body shape. Thin with a big chest. But do you know what they don’t have the.. They were not made by God. We all have things that we want to change about ourselves but in the end we were made by the same person that made the beautiful skies, that rainbow after the storm and the moon and stars. God made you beautiful.
