Welcome back!!

Ello Ello [or G'day Mate]
Ally and I've been around since almost the start of the other SDB forum.
18 [but still feel like 13] and from Victoria [bottem east of Australia].
Almost finished high school & going to uni soon.
I have a passion for helpping people [especially those going through the same things as me.]
I'm a youth group, kids church & camp leader & I love doing that.
Thats pretty much me. Hope to get to know the new ones on here soon & the old ones better

Heyy, I'm Jessica.
I was on the old board, but I'm a completely new person.
I've grown, become more mature since then.
I still have my issues, like everyone else, but I'm more mature about things, I guess.

Since then, here's how life's been...

- moved 2 miles away from my hometown. I'm now near Tallahassee.
- This is way old, but I've broken it off with my old on and off boyfriend.
- I was caught. So, I kinda had to quit cutting.
- I've gained weight, I was 105 pounds, and diagnosed with anorexia.
I'm far from it now xD but I might be a binge eater. ._.
-My parents have divorced. My father was cheating on her.
-Back in May, my dog Bella died. She was a poodle. I got a dog a week later, to fill the void. She's Honey, and she's a Maltipoo, and I love her
-I've dabbled into drugs, I wouldn't say I'm addicted. I'm quitting.

I haven't...
-Smoked pot since March.
-Smoked cigarettes since June.
-Popped pills since August?
-Used anything else since early September.

I love...

-Bright colors
-Animals
-Reading
-Music
-Makeup? (:
-Hairdye, I absolutely love it.
-And peircings. They hurt, but they're so pretty.
I want mainly a Monroe, snakebites, or spider bites. But my mother won't let me have any except my ears. She isnt very understanding.

Throughout my life, I've suffered...

-Peer Pressure
-For a while, I was addicted to pain pills.
-Cutting, I've been 'clean' since around April.
-Anorexia, and Overeating. I've never been bulimic, I hate throwing up.
-Abuse and Bullying. I still do, but I'm getting better at ignoring it.

Hey Jessica! Welcome back. I'm sorry to hear about your parents and your dog, but I'm glad to hear that you are on the path to healing.

I guess I got over the dog. I cried for a few days, well until we got Honey, but I've moved on.
I'm not close to my dad anymore, I guess I just sorta coped with what he did by blocking him out.

I'm not really new. I used to be on the old forum under the name Ostrich - then it all changed and looked complicated so it took me ages to get back round to joining. But I missed you guys - even though I guess I wasn't really that active.

I've changed since I last posted on here. I'm changing all the time, generally for the better. But a few random facts -
I am British
I am 17 years old
I am on my gap year before going to study Medicine at university, currently working for my Church (which is really challenging) and also in a music shop
Music is the second love of my life (after Jesus)
Which is good, because I'm most likely gay - so will of course have to be celibate. (Don't worry. I don't make awkward scary advances on people. Honest.)

And that's quite enough from me for now. Look forward to catching up on the boards.

Hello, I'm broken_forever and I am 22. I am going to school to become a teacher... and I have 1.5 years left. I started cutting when I was 13 but it didn't become a problem until later. I also started practicing bulimia around the same time. My mom has yelled at me about my weight since I can remember. Just recently, my mom decided to let me know that I am fat and that I have to drop a certain amount of weight by Christmas. She is in fairly good shape, so she takes it upon herself to "work" on my weight. She even told me that she is buying me a weight loss program for Christmas and that I have to workout at least 2 hours a day, everyday! She just keeps telling me that I need to lose weight even though I've dropped 3 pant sizes. I am trying my hardest but with my bulimia problem it makes it hard. I am trying to make myself eat but I can't without getting sick. So I either starve or binge/purge. I know most people will say stop listening to her, but she is my mother and I can't just ignore her. Enough with the boring information... here I am hoping for a friend.

Okay, well here goes.

I heard about this site from a friend, and thought I would check it out.

I'm Chantalle. I'm 15. I play sports, rugby and basketball mostly. I have social anxiety disorder which makes it hard to get out and do stuff. I am also diagnosed with borderline traits and moderate severe depression. I have been a self injurer for 4 years, cutting for one. I struggled with medication abuse (mostly advil, and t1's) for most of my grade 8 year and luckily dropped that habit before it came something more. I also was a frequent pot smoker in my eighth grade year. I started smoking cigarettes in sixth grade and have been and on and off smoker since. All this was to cope with emotions. I've attempted suicide once and was again recently IP for ideation. Since then, things have been looking up for me and I am hoping to get better sooner.

Apart from all the not so nice stuff, I mentioned I play sports, which are a huge part of my life. I also am artistic and love to sing. When I am with my friends, I am a total other person. I seem like the happiest girl in the world. I love to laugh. Laughing is the one thing you will always find me doing, even in the darkest points of my life, I have managed to keep laughing. I want to give back the help that's been given to me one day, I hope to be a therapist on an adolescent mental health ward. Or be a doctor. Or join the Navy. I have many different things I would like to do, but in the end it all gives back. Like the help I have gotten to learn to be happy, to deal with the abuse. The help I have gotten to be physically healthy and make my life easier and give me my hearing. The freedom the soldiers and navy and all those who have served have given us.

i was a member of the old SDBforums.. um ohyea, about me,, im 17, i love to draw and paint and be creative. im trying to get into artschool for next year.. (pretty nervous bout that).. i like to skate, thro im not good at it..

i have 1 older brother, 2 oldder stepbrothers, 1 little brother (well, okay, hes 14 and taller than me.) and a litle sister and a stepsissie. so im kindof in the middle.. my dad and my stepbros mom are going to mary next year, but i already call em brothers and lil sister.
